Hi friends and welcome to the Arise, Beloved blog. We have an amazing team of writers behind this blog and our desire is to speak truth into the lies that cripple us and shine light into the darkness that isolates us because we believe that now, more than ever, the Church desperately needs women to be restored so that the world can be set ablaze. Our hope is that you find comfort, solace, and peace in knowing that you are not alone, you are not too far gone and there is ALWAYS hope to be found.
“Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is easy, that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard, that leads to life, and those who find it are few.” – Matthew 7:13-14
A few weeks ago in prayer, I was reading through Matthew 7 and these verses leapt out to me. Kateri and I had been talking and praying about the direction the Lord wanted us to take with this ministry and while we had similar ideas, we needed something broader to encompass them both. As soon as I read this passage I knew that the Lord was inviting us to step out in faith and pursue the Narrow Way.
We believe that our world desperately needs women who are clinging to Christ on the Narrow Way. Our world needs women who are empowered by the Holy Spirit, totally surrendered to Christ, unafraid of the cross, and willing to sacrifice everything to do the will of God. In other words, our world needs Saints to rise up and spread the truth of the Gospel: namely the love and mercy of God.
If this sounds like what you desire but very unrealistic and unattainable, welcome to the club.
This isn’t something we can do on our own. This isn’t something easy to jump into or quick to accomplish. This will require a lifetime of hard work and a lifetime of falling down and getting back up and running to the cross.
We believe that the Narrow Way consists of prayer, repentance, fasting, Eucharistic fervor, and openness to the fiery love of the Holy Spirit.
We believe that the Narrow Way requires unwavering faith, trust, hope, joy, and above all love no matter what our exterior situations look like.
The Narrow Way is hard. It is hard to find, and it is even harder to stay on course. However, the good news is that not only does God pour out His grace on us and strengthen and equip us to stay on the Narrow Way, but he ALSO has given us holy men and women to guide and encourage us. The saints that have gone before us show us that it is possible to obtain sanctity and also instruct us on the way of truth, beauty, and goodness.
And so we invite you to join us this year on The Narrow Way to have a deeper encounter with the King of the Universe
